perspective of atticus
to day was a day that i did not espect Calpurnia calls me and tells me there is a mad dog by the streets . Then my sherif give me the rifle and tells me to shoot the animal.I was kinda nercuse because i have not done this for a while . I used tobe really good a shooting but then i had a feeling and i did not wanted to do it again and since then i have not spoken of it . Another thing has happend that got me a little nervous my son and daughter have been to pass trough Mrs. Dubose house. She is a very cranky person and I dont want her to disrespect my childre or tell them some thing that would hurt them specially nothing about me and my job because I know how much that makes Scout mad. so i told my son to have pattence with her and try to ignore her

one day Mrs. Dubose wanted to be all filly nilly with ] Jem and scout and told then that im not any better than the “niggers and trash I works for”. Jem got furious and he destroys Mrs. Dubose camellia bushes with a baton. I didnt think that was really fair for Mrs. Dubose since she is an old sick woman.I did not thimk that was a good reason to do that to her so i thought that it would be a good idea if Jem go and read to her. He had to read for her not just once but many other times. Everyday more and more. A month after Mrs. Dubose had died I told my son and daughter how she was addicted to morphine and reading was a way for her to stop the addiction. I hoped they learned there lessen . MRs . Dubose RIP
